Sports Bursaries Print

 The University, in conjunction with Glasgow City Council, offers Sports Bursaries to elite sports men and women who wish to develop their sporting careers in conjunction with their academic studies.

 

Applicants to the Sports Bursary programme must have reached or demonstrated a particular standard level of standard to be considered for the Bursary programme:

 

  • World/Olympic standard
  • European/British standard
  • Potential to reach the above demonstrated at a Junior Level

 

The Sports Bursary programme offers a comprehensive support package to allow talented athletes the opportunity to study, train and compete within a balanced framework.  The scheme also includes free access to the sporting facilities of all three universities across Glasgow, as well as the City Council.
