EQUIPMENT FOR CLUBS

 

The following provides a quick overview of guidance to clubs when applying for funding relating to equipment purchases, which clubs must read and engage in before applying for any assistance in purchashing equipment.

 

  • Clubs should use official purchasing order forms from the Sports Union with an order number.  Without this the SU may choose not to fund or insure any equipment purchased.

  • Be Realistic! - SU clubs require high standards of equipment but with limited resources, it is hard to kit all clubs at World Championship standard.
  • Ensure that your forms are accurately completed, including details by National Governing Bodies for your level of competition and other information.  If you need assistance on completion of any of the paperwork please consult the This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • For those clubs with large equipment requirements, the Growth and Renewal Forms should be completed to accompany any applications.
  • Please submit documentation which provides evidence for the cost of the equipment e.g. quotes, catalogue/brochure, or letter/e-mail correspondance.
  • Please provide as much information as possible to allow the Finance Committee to make an informed decision.

FORMS

 

The Forms are divided into two sections to determine what equipment is being purchased.  To prevent any uncertainty on which form to use in applying, Fund 1 is used as small equipment purchases used day-to-day, and Fund 2 as large one-off purchases.  If you have any uncertainty please contact the This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

 

EQUIPMENT FUND 1

This fund is set aside for small purchases e.g. balls, shuttlecocks and various other small items.  As a guide the cost of any single item should be under £100 and the total application of various small items should not exceed £300.  These items are described as 'yearly' items with constant use as determined by the sport.  This is NOT for major one off items.  There is some flexibility in this approach, please discuss this with the SU.

 

EQUIPMENT FUND 2

This fund is set aside for large purchases e.g. boats, canoes, surfboards etc.  As a guide the cost of any single item should be over £100 and the total application of various large items could run into the £1,000s.  There is no exhaustive list for applying.  It is however MANDATORY that clubs consult the Sports Dev Officer before applying.

 

GROWTH AND RENEWAL FORM
